2023 Events

Borough Council Goes to Briarcliff

 

Members of Borough Council go to Briarcliff School to deliver a live civics lesson to our 8th graders. Council members assist the students in running a mock council and hashing out a municipal issue!  This year, the kids tackled the issue of lakes management.  Great thanks to Mr. Carlson, and Mr. Lee, our parent volunteers, and the 8th grade team!

70% of our property taxes go to support our wonderful school district.  Attendees were able to find out how those dollars are being allocated, what changes are coming, and where the district's priorities are. See the video on our YouTube Channel.

Voter Registration

LWVML volunteers helped our eligible MLHS students get registered so they can vote in the next election.
Moving our Youth Toward a Healthier Future

March 15, 2023

A panel of experts discussing the NJ DOE standards on Sex Ed in public school, what changes have occurred and what is actually happening in the schools.  On our panel sat a school nurse, a Health Education specialist, a student activist, a principal, a BOE member.
